Karaoke

First and foremost, I want to thank Holly Muncie for totally pimping my blog! I love it! Like Shealy said, it is very "me." Thanks Holly!!!

Well, I am not totally sure if I spelled that right, but man have I had a good time today! My fabulous co-worker Katie Dyer put together the best karaoke party I have ever been to for an end of the year celebration. Every kid got to look through a list of songs and get together with a group and sing. There were many classics sung, but the best one would have to be, "Whoomp There It Is." This unforgetable classic was performed by myself and Mrs. Muncie. Although we were doing karaoke, I did not look at the screen once- all of my wonderful 6th grade memories of making up dances to this song came rushing back to me. I think I blacked out I was having such a good time.

We had a new woman interviewing for a job at Drake next year and she came to school today, and I just looked at her and said, "I can't believe this is what I get paid to do."

I will try to keep up with the blog, but we have a lot on our plate in the upcoming two weeks. I am going to MO May 26th- June 1st. Then, summer school and soccer camp starts June 2nd, then tryouts start June 5th. So it is going to be crazy; but I will try to keep everyone updated on my soccer life!

thank you for the kind words about my party planning abilities - maybe people won't blow me off as a total flake from now on.....
and it's a damn good thing you didn't read those words off the screen - you're regular chant of "whoop there it is" was WAY more appropriate than the actual words!

I love that the whole world wide web knows I sang whoomp there it is...one of the proudest moments of my teaching career. And Katie did a bang up job!

I love your blog...I have just spent the last hour reading each and every one of your beautfully written entries (gosh...has it really been an hour). Well it was better than sitting downstairs with Dave while he watched some European Soccer Championship replay. Don't tell Bill, he will be totally jealous. Dave and Kevin are also looking forward to some game that is playing on Wednesday, me on the other hand, I'm looking forward to seeing Sex and the City on Thursday!!! Ok...I think I'm only suppose to post a comment, not a novel, talk to you later. Love you!
